A $99 security deposit is required to secure your place in the rental fleet and confirm your reservation. The security deposit is refundable — but it is not automatically refunded when your rental ends. It is held until your chair is returned and inspected at our refurbishment facility. If the chair is in acceptable condition — normal wear and tear is expected and does not affect the refund — the full $99 is returned to your original payment method. If damage beyond normal wear is found, the deposit may be withheld in whole or in part to offset repair or replacement costs. No charge is collected on the online form itself. You will receive a secure Stripe payment link within 24 hours of submitting your reservation to complete the $99 security deposit.
A one-time $99 refurbishment fee is collected at the start of your rental. This fee is non-refundable. The refurbishment fee covers professional cleaning, sanitization, and preparation of the chair before delivery to you. It also covers the reconditioning process when the chair is returned. This ensures every renter receives a thoroughly cleaned and certified unit.
Monthly charges of $199 begin on the date your chair is delivered — not on the date you reserve or sign your agreement. You will not be charged until delivery. Billing Schedule: • First month ($199): Included in the $447 due at shipment • Second month ($199): Charged 30 days after your delivery date • Third month ($199): Charged 60 days after your delivery date • Month 4 and beyond: Charged monthly on the same calendar date as your delivery date, month-to-month, until you cancel with proper notice A 3-month minimum rental period applies. The minimum 3 months ensures that the combined non-refundable fees cover the operational cost of the rental. After the minimum is complete, there is no further commitment.
A 3-month minimum rental commitment is required for all renters. The 3-month minimum is a financial commitment, not a goal. If you initiate a return before your 3-month minimum is complete, you remain responsible for all monthly payments through the end of the minimum term. Outstanding rent must be paid in full before a return can be processed. Example: If you request a return at the beginning of month 2, you still owe month 2 and month 3 before the return is scheduled. A Stripe payment link for the remaining balance will be sent to your email on file; the return is not initiated until payment clears. After the 3-month minimum is complete, your rental converts to month-to-month with no further commitment. You may return at any time with 30 days' advance notice (see Section 5).
We know the newborn phase is exhausting. We have made the return process as simple and stress-free as possible — but it requires 30 days' advance notice so we can stop your payments in time and get your return organized before it becomes urgent. Step 1 — Email Us 30 Days Before Your Last Month Send an email to [email protected] at least 30 days before the month you want to be your last. We do not accept return notices by phone call alone. As soon as we receive your email: • We immediately cancel your next scheduled autopayment. • We confirm your final billing date in writing via email. • We ask you to confirm whether you have your original shipping box and packing materials. Return labels are sent exclusively to the email address on your Stripe account. Please ensure this email is active and accessible before initiating your return. Step 2 — Box Status & Return Shipping Payment Reply to our confirmation email with your box status: Have your original box: — Rental of 6 months or longer: Return shipping is fully covered by Boddie Balance. We send your prepaid return label to your email on file and schedule carrier pickup. — Rental of 3, 4 or 5 months: A $149 per chair return shipping fee applies. We send a secure Stripe payment link to your email on file. Return label is issued after payment clears. Box is lost or damaged: Notify us in your reply. We ship you a replacement shipping box and packing materials. The replacement box fee is $100, charged via Stripe payment link sent to your email on file. Once payment clears and the replacement arrives, we issue your return label and schedule pickup. All payments for return shipping and replacement packaging are collected via secure Stripe payment link sent to your email — no new card entry required if your payment method is on file. Step 3 — Carrier Pickup A third-party carrier collects the packaged chair from your address on the scheduled date. You receive a tracking confirmation automatically. You do not need to drop the chair off anywhere. Step 4 — Facility Inspection & Security Deposit Decision After the chair arrives at our refurbishment facility, we inspect it within 5–7 business days. You receive written notification of the outcome either way: Acceptable condition (normal wear and tear expected): Your full $99 security deposit is refunded to your original payment method. Damage beyond normal wear: The $99 security deposit is partially or fully withheld to offset the cost of repair or replacement. If repair costs exceed $99, additional charges will be applied to the card on file. All findings are documented and shared with you in writing. IMPORTANT: We cannot retroactively refund a monthly payment that was not cancelled with proper advance notice. The 30-day notice window exists specifically so we can prevent that charge before it processes. Do not contact us after a charge has cleared expecting it to be reversed. All returns must be coordinated through Boddie Balance. Do not ship the chair independently — uncoordinated returns are not covered by our return handling and may result in lost or damaged equipment for which you remain liable.
Service Area The rental program is currently available in the continental United States only. Rentals cannot be shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or international addresses at this time. Outbound Shipping (Chair to You) Customer is responsible for outbound shipping costs. The flat rate is $149 for the continental USA. This fee is collected as part of the $447 due at shipment (shipping $149 + refurbishment $99 + first month's rent $199). Return Shipping For rentals of 6 months or longer: Boddie Balance covers the full cost of return pickup and shipping. We provide the label and schedule the pickup — no additional cost to you. For rentals of 3, 4 or 5 months: Return shipping is paid by the renter at $149 per chair. This fee reflects third-party carrier costs and is not a penalty. All returns must be scheduled through Boddie Balance to ensure proper handling and insurance coverage. Do not ship the chair independently. Box Retention Requirement You must retain the original shipping box and all packing materials for the entire duration of your rental. The original packaging is required for the return shipment. This applies to all rentals, including rentals of 6 months or longer with free return shipping. If the original box is lost or discarded, a $100 replacement box and packing kit fee applies. A secure Stripe payment link for $100 will be sent to your email on file; the return label is not issued until this fee is paid and the replacement box has been delivered and confirmed. Automatic Billing & Unreturned Equipment Automatic charging to your card on file begins on your chair's delivery date. $199 per month continues to be charged until you contact Boddie Balance and request a return label — please contact us at least 30 days before your intended return to avoid unnecessary charges. Rentals beyond 6 months continue at $199 per month for as long as you keep the chair. If the chair is not returned, the MSRP of $2,950 will be charged.
When your chair is ready to ship, Boddie Balance will send you a single secure payment link covering all amounts due before delivery: • Outbound Shipping (flat rate, continental USA): $149 • One-Time Refurbishment Fee: $99 • First Month's Rent: $199 • Total Due at Shipment: $447 This $447 payment must be completed before your chair is released for shipping. Your $99 reservation deposit (paid at reservation) is separate and is not applied toward this amount — it is held as a refundable security deposit until your rental ends.
Available only to attendees of The Prego Expo in Boston on October 17. Instead of the standard $99 reservation deposit, Prego Expo attendees reserve a rental for $25. • Paid at the expo: $25 (completely refundable reservation deposit, Prego Expo deal only; counts toward the $99 security deposit) • Due when the chair is ready to ship:$74 (remaining security deposit) + $99 (non-refundable refurbishment fee) + $149 (outbound shipping) + $199 (month 1 rental) = $521 All other rental terms apply: 3-month minimum, automatic billing from the delivery date, return shipping paid by the renter for rentals of 3, 4 and 5 months and free for rentals of 6 months or longer, the original shipping box required (or a $100 fee for a new box), and MSRP of $2,950 charged if the chair is not returned. Shipping is planned for June 2027 and is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Contact Boddie Balance after June 2027 to request your ship date.
The Boddie Balance Lactation System is available for rental only. There is no buyout option. Rent as long as you need it and return it when you are done.
The chair will be delivered in certified, professionally cleaned condition. Normal wear and tear is expected and does not affect your refundable $99 security deposit. Damage beyond normal wear — including structural damage, broken components, missing accessories, or contamination requiring extraordinary cleaning — may result in partial or full withholding of the $99 security deposit. In cases of severe damage, additional charges may apply. You are responsible for the chair while it is in your possession. Please store it in a dry, protected location and follow all care instructions provided with your rental agreement.
Corporate lactation suite rentals (6–10+ units) are subject to a separate Corporate Rental Agreement. Fleet pricing, multi-unit discounts, and dedicated account management are available. This Rental Policy is an addendum to the full Boddie Balance™ Terms and Conditions available at BoddieBalance.com/terms. In the event of a conflict between this Rental Policy and the general Terms and Conditions, this Rental Policy governs for rental transactions.
Boddie Balance reserves the right to update this Rental Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to active renters via email with reasonable notice. Continued rental after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. This policy is current as of July 2026.
